He waited for her at the Mamak stall, sipping on copious mugs of Teh Tarik.
The misting fan helped him stay cool despite the heat.

His iPhone beeped. She wasn’t coming. He felt dejected.

Just then the projector came to life.

He ordered a Kopi Susu and sat back to enjoy the Euro Cup match.

  1. I had to Google to find out what Marmak was all about…and then I saw the tags for this post 🙂

    It’s an interesting analogy of what he is drinking and the person he is waiting for; as if the girl is driving his taste somehow. Once she is out of picture, radical changes 🙂

    Not sure why but I found myself chuckling at this piece.
