Miss ‘Near’ Perfect

with 6 comments

In his vocabulary, the word plan found no mention. Rarely, very!
She, on the other hand, had all figured out. Almost!

She didn’t recall sitting on a bike other than the rare occurrence of she being pillion, from the hostel to the academic block. According to her, cars were comfy and bikes were not.
For him, biking was a passion since adolescence.

He cherished the solitude of the mountains, silence of the valleys.
The sound of tides lashing the shores was her musical solace.

One evening, he called her Miss Perfect. She admitted that she was confused too and not perfect.
So he addressed her as Miss ‘Near’ Perfect. She chuckled.

However, aware of his own imperfections, he dared not to break the perfect aura around her.
And with each passing day, they began to drift apart.
