Maximum City – The Mango Man

with 6 comments

With a fixed monthly income and budgeted expenses, he hardly had cash to spare.
She was fond of money and all things it could buy.
And because he was enamored of her, he spent exorbitantly on her.

Eventually, he was cash crunched.
She shunned him.

Consoling himself, he made peace with his Mango Man status.

Mango (English) translates to Aam (Hindi)
Aam (Hindi) translates to Common (English)
Therefore, the title could alternatively be read as ‘The Common Man’

  1. Ha ha…it reminds me of Love Aaj Kal for that is where I first heard this phrase.
I guess this is indeed the story of most Mango Men. And women for that matter.

  3. If he is single, he has cash to spare.
    So he woos a girl.
He spends all money on her.
Bankrupt, he is a single Mango Man again.

    Catch-22!
