Quick Byte #5, Damn … err The Dam

BSA TFN riders atop the Gorur Dam

The first support station was merely 24 kms away when the BSA Tour Of Nilgiris riders started from Hassan today morning. On testing terrain they rode, the road throwing a pothole at them, every now and then. The sight of the support station was a relief but the location was simply out of the world, something that none of us had imagined. It was the Hemavathi Reservoir Project (HRP) popularly known as Gorur Dam. The riders got the exclusive opportunity to actually ride over the damn for over a good 2 kms, which in turn provided for some great photo-opportunity.
