Pills and Strips

with 11 comments

Previous night was a blur. She popped in the pill. The strip didn’t turn blue. She was happy.
Periods deserted her later. Paranoia returned. The worst was confirmed. She sued the pill guys, the strip guys, settled on a whopping amount.

To her daughter, she gifted the wisdom of never relying on pills or strips.

  1. I find myself wondering what prompted you to write this. Also, I suppose the pill or strip could be representative of any number of things.

    • Kunal / Mentalie,
Let me go back to the time before I penned this down.
Hmm … I don’t seem to remember.Oh wait somethings coming back. Well, I happened to watch this ad of ‘Unwanted'(some new anti pregnancy pill) on TV and I remembered ipill … the seeds were sown.

Intention was to make a mockery of it. Not sure if that is right, though!
