The message read – My baby is dead
His heart skipped a beat. A moment later, he made the call.

There was silence at the other end. He was clueless.

The baby was his too. However instead of mourning the occurence, he felt liberated and relieved. Single mothers, he thought, were still vilified in the Indian society.
