But a steady paycheck put him at ease.

Ambition lost priority.
Complacency crept in!

Meanwhile, his performance nosedived. He dangled at the ‘pink-slip’ risk.

Walking out of the directors cabin, he smiled.
Irrevocably, he was free from corporate shackles – the reasons didn’t matter!
