Closure
It’d been a year since they parted ways but the sms’ never ceased. She was stuck. He had moved on. They, sometimes, talked. He never made the call though. She pleaded on catching up. He obliged. They made love at her apartment.
Unable to zero-in on a closure mechanism, he has now resorted to apathy.
Edited to remove the F-word. Had used it in the first place to fit the story in 55 words. It appeared crass I was told, hence the change.
strange how some people refuse to move on but go through the pain all time !

Guess it is hard for some! And some people never change. But change is the only constant
